President’s message: Philipsburg Toastmasters Club
When Ralph Smedley started the Toastmasters Club in 1924, he
could not have envisioned that he had the answer to bring about all the change
to make this world a better place. That change was to make the world a better
place by using Communication as the tool to bring about positive change in all
people. Later on Leadership was added as well.
Today, the Philipsburg Toastmasters Club is doing its part to
bring about positive changein the community step by step by starting with the
personal development of its members and all those who are interested in
improving their communication and leadership skills. However, the Toastmasters
Club now allows members to develop their leadership skills as well.
Having done this for the past 12 years, the Philipsburg
Toastmasters Club has proven its commitment by accomplishing the President’s
Distinguished Club award for the past year 2006-2007. For the next year, we want
to take this Club to the next level. In this four months, the Club is proud to
have achieved six of the required ten goals towards the President’s
Distinguished Club.
The Club meets every first and third Thursday at the Philipsburg
Jubilee Library. We challenge all those who wish to be part of an organization
with the main goal of improving your self development through better listening,
thinking and speaking. Improving your communication and leadership skills.
Join the Philipsburg Toastmasters Club today, because together
we are “MOVING UP!” as we take COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP to the next level
through TOASTMASTERS.
Our Club is a distinguished Toastmasters Club lets maintain that level.
And for our club to become an advance toastmasters club.
Mission will be accomplished.
